▼About Tokyo Marathon Charity Our charity program aims to provide an opportunity for those who run, support and cheer the Tokyo Marathon to think about social contributions, and deliver an opportunity to take action, with the hopes of uniting the hearts of each and every person closer to the society.
“Let’s Convert Your Love for Running into Someone’s Happiness”. With such passion at heart, the Tokyo Marathon continues to manage the charity program.
The Tokyo Marathon Charity program is operated in cooperation of the official charities and the Tokyo Marathon Foundation. |
You can choose from the official charity programs that you would like to support.
There are two ways you can support:
1)Love running? Be a Charity Runner!
2)Want to join but not a runner? Help by making a donation.
We opened Lao Friends Hospital for Children (LFHC) in Luang Prabang (Laos) in 2015, where we provide free medical care in a compassionate environment. Many of our patients are children who require inpatient care. Proper treatment can save their lives. To save the lives of as many children as possible, we will put your generous donation to work for those hospitalized children at LFHC in Laos.

Who we are
Friends Without A Border Japan (FWAB) is a non-government organization that provides pediatric medical support to children in Laos, Cambodia, and other Asian countries. With “Treatment, Education and Prevention” as the pillars of our activities and our goal is to establish a locally sustainable hospital by and for the local people.
Our guiding motto is “Treat ever patient as if your own child.”
As our first project, we opened Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) in 1999 in Siem Reap, Cambodia and handed over the administration of the hospital to local management in 2013. After turning over AHC to local management, we expanded our mission of helping the children of Southeast Asia to Laos and opened Lao Friends Hospital for Children (LFHC) in Luang Prabang in 2015.
Friends Without A Border Japan is accredited by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as a certified non-profit organization. For the donation, we will issue an acknowledgement letter to be used for a tax deduction in Japan.
Friends Without A Border Japan (FWAB) has been selected as an official charity of the Tokyo Marathon 2023.
