2026年3月1日、東京マラソン2026が開催されました。フレンズ・ウィズアウト・ア・ボーダー JAPAN（フレンズ）は、東京マラソンチャリティの寄付先団体として参加し、今年は20か国から総勢89名の方が、フレンズのチャリティランナーとして走って下さいました！

東京マラソンEXPO 2026、そして42.195kmに挑んだ当日の様子をお届けします。

■東京マラソンEXPO 2026：2月26日～2月28日

例年、寄付先団体としてチャリティブースを出展していますが、初日はワクワクソワソワします。メールでのやり取りだけだった皆さんと直接会える東京マラソンEXPO 2026は、待ち遠しくもあり、少し緊張する瞬間でもあります。

「Hi! I am ** from **. Thank you for accepting me as a Charity Runner!」

「完走目指して頑張ります！」

チャリティランナーの皆さんおひとりお一人に想いがあり、胸がキュッと熱くなりました。フレンズオリジナルTシャツと手書きのメッセージカードをお渡しし、記念撮影！今年は、インターン生の安食佳奈さんがランナーさんの出身国の言葉でメッセージを頑張って書いてくれて（読めない文字も多々・・）、手に取ったランナーさんからは「Wow!」という嬉しい反応が！その反応は私たちにも連鎖し、終始ブースはHappyな雰囲気でした。

■東京マラソン2026：3月1日

ドキドキしながら迎えた、大会当日。寄付先団体全団体が集結するチャリティラウンジに加え、今年も、認定NPO法人シャプラニール＝市民による海外協力の会さんと協力し、個別ラウンジを設けました。また、昨年に続き手作りのうちわと横断幕を掲げて、沿道応援も実施しました！

42.195kmに挑むチャリティランナーの皆さんの懸命に走る姿に胸を打たれました。何かを、誰かを想って走ることの強さとあたたかさを感じました。

個別ラウンジはご家族やご友人さんとのミーティングスポットとしても利用していただき、いろんな会話が聞こえてきて賑やかでした。また、フレンズのチャリティアンバサダー・鳥光健仁さんによるアフターケアも実施し、希望するランナーさんには疲れ切った身体を休めていただきました。

東京マラソン2026チャリティを通じて新しい出会いやつながりが生まれたことは、私たちにとって大きな励みとなりました。一人ひとりの想いが重なり合い、支援の輪が少しずつ広がっていることを実感しています。これからも多くの方に活動を知っていただき、この「輪」が広がっていけたら嬉しいです。

数ある団体の中からフレンズを選びチャリティランナーとして走って下さった皆さま、そして、東京マラソンEXPO 2026から大会当日までサポートいただいたボランティアの皆さま、ありがとうございました。

On March 1^st, the Tokyo Marathon 2026 was held. 89 people from 20 countries ran for our charity, Children in Laos!

■Tokyo Marathon EXPO 2026: February 26^th to 28^th

Many of our Charity Runners visited our booth! The Tokyo Marathon EXPO 2026 is where we finally get to meet the runners in person after communicating with them via email, so we’re always happy but a little nervous.

「Hi! I am ** from **. Thank you for accepting me as a Charity Runner!」

「Try my best!」

Each Charity Runner had a wonderful story, and it moved us a lot.

They loved our original T-shirt and message card. Kana Anjiki, our intern, tried her best to write messages in each runner’s languages! The runners who received the card reacted with, “WOW!” Their happiness spread to us as well.

■Tokyo Marathon 2026 Charity: March 1^st

Finally, the day had come! We were filled with excitement. We set up a Charity Lounge and an Individual Lounge for the runners. We lined the streets with handmade cheering paper fans and a banner and called names and words of encouragement to our runners.

The Charity Runner’s dedication and passion deeply moved us. What a meaningful challenge to run 42.195km!

The Individual Lounge, in cooperation with the SHAPLA NEER= Citizens’ Committee in Japan for Overseas Support which was also used as a meeting spot for families and friends.

Our charity ambassador Takenori Torimitsu provided aftercare support for the runners.

It was a precious moment for us to connect with new people through the Tokyo Marathon 2026 charity. 

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers who supported us from the Tokyo Marathon EXPO 2026 through race day, and to all our Charity Runners who chose us as a charity organization from the many organizations.
